“Hello everybody, I am Kah Yi and I am the vice chairperson (external) for this MC. For my term, I hope to bring the civil engineering students closer to one another through organising more events for all of us. Of which, the highlight I believe would be site visits to both related work and production sites. Also, if you all have any sites you and your friends are keenly interested in visiting, please let me know too and I will try my best to facilitate!  ”

Dear friends, I joined the Civil Engineering Club after having experienced a year of activities (not to forget lectures and tutorials) planned by the previous CE Management Committee. As the current Vice Chairperson of the 12th MC, I wish to maintain their excellent effort and continue to bring you more vibrant activities to maximize the interaction within the CE Family, consisting of the students, tutors, lab techs, admin staff, and professors. Hi, I’m Tze Yuen, second year student. The main motivation for me to join CE Club is that hopefully I can bring up the difficulties experienced by common engineering students coming into CE. We are in year 2 yet we know few people in our course. Many people have already made friends since year 1, thus it is quite hard join their “clique”. Therefore, I hope to organize more bonding activities for the whole CE community, so that there is an opportunity to get to know more people as well as knowing friends from other years.

Hi everyone, my name is Khan Khisan. I’m doing civil engineering, year 2. This year, I am a marketing director of CE club. Although this is a tough job, I’m willing to learn new things so that I can leave something interesting during my stay in Singapore. I hope I can find a lot of sponsorship this year and help CE club be more prosperous.

Hi, I am Evi, currently in my second year, studying civil engineering. I like to do design, both hand-drawn and digital designs. Other than that, I love studying, eating and sleeping. I am also helping out in Operation Orion, a CE Club initiated OCIP’09 as a Publicity team member.

Here you have Wei Hui serving you as the External Relations Director! You can look forward to future interactions with your Civil Engineering counterparts in other universities and exciting site visits! I served as the Vice-Chairperson in the 11th Management Committee and learnt a great deal which I wish to share with this current committee. Hi! I am Xiaochen, IT director of 12th CE MC. To me, University life is about enjoying. We are all spending a precious four-year with our CE family. I join CE club to make sure you, my friend, can enjoy life in CE as much as I do. IT-related design and maintenance are of my particular interest. Although still having a lot to learn, I am working hard to provide technical support to our CE events. Do approach me if you have any comments or suggestions related to my work.

Hi, I am Chriswini Tanaka, the Financial Controller of 12th Management Committee of Civil Engineering Club. Currently I am in Year 1. The reason why I joined Civil Engineering Club is that I want to know more of Civil Engineering students and know more of what is happening surrounds me. I was a treasurer and Head of Secretariat in my previous CCA in Secondary School and Junior College, thus I think I can contribute my treasury skills for Civil Engineering Club. I am looking forward to work together with all Civil Engineering Committee and students.

Hello I am Qianyu, the special project director (welfare) for the 12th MC of the CE club. Being a first year student, I hope to bring fresh and interesting ideas into the club. Hello everyone, I am Zaneth Lai, the special project director in charge of CE day. Joining the Civil Engineering club has been one of my best decisions ever as it enables me to give back to the CE community. CE day 2010 will be yet another phenomenon for every CE students. By joining our friendly competition, we hope to bring out the best in every CE students and inject enthusiasm in them to rekindle their spark of interest in CE related fields, by joining CE day, we hope to bridge the gap amongst CE students, by joining CE day, you will feel a sense of pride being a CE student, but above all, joining CE day because it’s YOUR DAY!

Hello, I am Xuewei, a year one student. I’m the Freshman Orientation Camp Director. I hope that my experience in the 12th MC of CE club will be a fulfilling part of my University life. Organizing the inaugural orientation is a new challenge to me. It will be a good chance for personal development as well as an opportunity to create an everlasting impression of a fun loving CE community to our juniors and friends. Hi everyone, I am Wenying, currently a year2 in Civil. Civil engineers may come to people as very uninteresting and boring but to me civil engineers are capable of doing meaningful things too! CE club has fully exemplified this through one of their initiative; Operation Orion. I was very inspired and hence joined the CE club. I hope that through organizing activities for the CE community, more civil students will be able to better appreciate their own significance and feel proud to be one!
