| Origin of Operation Orion |
| The story of Orion revolves around 2 main characters, Orion and Taurus.Orion and Taurus are 2 star constellations which can be seen to appear side by side in the night sky. According to the interpretation of astronomers, Orion symbolizes a hunter who fights courageously against a charging bull, Taurus. Our operation was named after Orion in the hope that we, as a team will stand up courageously without fear, against all adversities we are going to face during the organization of the operation. Having named our project Operation Orion, we hoped to instill in every member of our team, the true spirit of Operation Orion, that is,” Never to shun and run away from any difficulties that come our way. Our Logo
The logo is made of” O, C, and S” which stands for Overseas Community Service. The logo takes the form of 2 people embracing, symbolizing the fostering of friendship and good will spirit among Singaporean youths and their counterparts. By Zhenting Our Slogan From The Spark That Started The Fire, Operation Orion 2001 hopes to carry on the burning enthusiasm of our pioneers and bring smiles and happiness to the locals of our neighbouring countries. Operation Orion 2000 is a huge success as it touches the lives of the people in Yangon, Myanmar. The completion of 7 houses and a playground bring smiles to the locals and foster the ties between the 2 countries. Operation Orion 2001 Aspire to emulate them and bring smiles to the locals of Hainan, China, where we will be helping them in the construction of their irrigation system. The construction of the irrigation system is by no means an easy task, especially to the many of us who have no experience in such project. Nevertheless we will do our best and Perspire for a good cause. We hope that, through our efforts and perspiration, we will be able to improve the working conditions of the locals. The success of Operation Orion 2000 is a good inspiration for our project. We hope that Operation Orion 2001 will also Inspire Singapore youth to take up such meaningful community services and lend a hand to people who needs our help. By Junxiang |
